My  Family  Day Care

  My Family Day Care is an educational preschool and child care facility run in a comfortable home atmosphere.  Having our children in a loving, home day care, is the next-best place to having them at home!  We are located in the Cal State San Bernardino and Devore neighborhood serving Palm Avenue Elementary and North Verdemont Elementary, off the Palm/Kendall Exit, off the 215 freeway.  We provide three different programs, serving children from 6 weeks old through 12 years old.  Our students are placed in the programs, as they are ready (not necessarily according to their age).  We love teaching and playing with our students! 

We believe that children should have a good time while they are learning!          Learning should be fun! 

          We are experienced and educated.  We are First Aid and CPR certified, and we have cleared the Finger Printing and Child Abuse Index, done by the FBI.  Insuring your child's safety is our number one priority!  We believe that children thrive in safe, happy, healthy environments! 

 

          We are a preschool and child care facility run from the comfort of a home and we are run according to the laws of the state of California and Community Care Licensing (Child Day Care Licensing Office).  We are governed by the Department of Social Services and intend to do our best to provide families with excellent, affordable and educational child care.

          We have been asked, "Why would I put my child in your day care?"  We have a paid staff, and have a consistent schedule.  Our students know what to expect, day to day. Consistency is important to academic development and is an important factor for bonding. 

          The benefit here is - our staff is a step above the rest.  We hire qualified teachers and work with college students aiming for a career in the field of Child Development or Education.  They are not just babysitters, or young adults that just need "a job".  Our facility encourages and supports academic development, not only of our students, but also our staff! 

             So the question should not be, "Why would I leave my child at My Family Day Care?"  The question should be, "Why wouldn't you?"  Our staff consists of people that are going the distance for children.  They are not required to be here.  They choose to be here. They want to insure that children are receiving the best care and education possible.

Snack                 9:30-9:50am

Lunch                 11:40-12:00pm

Morning Kindergarteners eat lunch when they return from school, at 12:30pm

Snack              3:30-4:00pm

              Our facility is a member of the San Bernardino County of Schools – Food Program.  This program regulates us through menus, and unannounced visits.  Thanks to this program, we are able to provide all dietary needs!

 With the Food Program, we are even able to provide Infant Formula!!!

We have been licensed since 1999, and have professional experience, with children, dating back to 1989. 

College Background:  Associate's Degree & Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, an Administrative Certificate for Child Care Centers, a Multiple Subject Elementary Teaching Credential, and professional experience (dating back to 1989).  Experience working with children  contributes to our ability to provide exceptional child care and a Preschool Program that readies our students for Kindergarten.  We have been a member of KidsnCare’s Resource and Referral Program since 2001.  KidsnCare only refers parents to child cares that hold a good record with the state.  As members of  KidsnCare’s Food Program since 2002, run by the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, we’ve been promoting fun, healthy, well-balanced diets for our students.  We are also an official member of The Inland Empire Family Child Care Association, which is a group that promotes educating child care providers.  Our day care was given a Certificate of Appreciation for Volunteer Services, from Loma Linda Children’s Hospital, in August of 2000 … when our students dedicated 30 minutes a day, for one month, to make cards for the children admitted there.  We were recognized by KidsnCare at Child Care Provider Appreciation, from the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, in May 2002 and again in May 2008.  In the summer of 2004, we received a plaque for Top Quality Child Care.  In 2006, we received a Grant through “First Five of California”, after the parents we serve, nominated us as one of Southern California’s Best Home Day Care’s and Preschools.  Lastly, in May 2009, we were honored by KidsNCare, at the Top Provider Banquet.
